The Nigerian Ports Consultative Council (NPCC) said it plans to immortalise the immediate past Chairman of the Council, late Otunba Kunle Folarin who passed on about two weeks ago.
Speaking during a condolence visit to the family of the late maritime guru, a member of the Council, Mr. Balaji Sunmola appealed to the wife of Otunba Folarin to allow the Council to be part of the funeral ceremonies.
Sunmola also said that it was when the Council is made to part of the funeral that being part of the funeral ceremonies
Speaking on behalf of the family, the deceased’s daughter; Mrs. Olamide Adeosun said the family did not realize how committed their father was to the maritime industry, until after his passage.
She said: “We did not know he was a father to maritime industry, we thought he was father to only us his children”.
She said that the burial will be towards the end of January, adding that the maritime industry will duly informed and carried along.
