Speaking with our correspondent last week, an official of the fumigation company, Safety Signatures Limited, Engr Ifeanyin Chukwuigbunugwo said that the operation will not affect loading of products because the chemicals being used are not toxic.

According to him, the offices were fumigated on Saturday the 5th of July while the outside of the tank farm will be fumigated on Sunday 6th of July when there is no loading operation taking place.
In a notice, the company had earlier warned its customers to, "please be informed that Capital Oil and Gas complex will be fumigated from Saturday 5th to Sunday 6th July 2014.
"We have observed all health risk analysis and the exposure limits are guaranteed based on our comprehensive risk assessment" it said.
