A faction of the National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents (NCMDLCA) has appointed an 11-member executive to run the affairs of the association for another term ,even as the Managing Director of Eyis Resources Limited, Mr. Lucky Eyis Amiwero still stands as its national president.
Mr Amiwero has been the group’s President since its creation more than 15 years ago.

The new appointees include; former secretary general;Mr. Uchu Block who now occupies the deputy national president position, while Mr. Yakubu Falana is the new national general secretary.
Others are: Pastor Emmanuel Eze as the Director of Public Relations, Mr. Christopher Ezugwu, as deputy national secretary and Francis Omohioba is the national financial secretary.
Alhaji Omotayo Memudu is the new national treasurer, Chief Victor Ozigbo is the new western zone chairman, Alhaji Abu Bulama, now western zone deputy chairman, Prince Adebisi Oyebola is the western zone secretary while Prince Adeniyi Ajayi is the new registration committee chairman.
Speaking exclusively with Mr Lucky Eyis Amiwero in his office, he told our correspondent that the NCMDLCA is not an association that conducts elections, adding it is a group of directors, with emphasis on appointing their leaders.
Amiwero said, "our constitution is very clear, we are not only an association, we are National Council of Managing Directors and our object clause is to advise the government on policies which no other association has done or is doing at the moment"
"We assist the government in trade facilitation and the people selected were chosen based on merit"
"We are an association that will not go and compromise like other, we are an association that will fight for the agents’ for the purpose of effecting a change"
"We are not touts, we stand for the truth, we work for the protection and projection of our industry , above all we are not freight forwarders, but licensed customs agents", he stated.
He also said that the association is covered under the World Customs Organisation (WCO) that is fully involved in trade rather than transportation.
