Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has lost a frontline member; Prince Olubanjo Olatunde.
A former chairman, Tin Can Island Port Chapter of the association, Prince Olatunde passed on Sunday June 20, 2010. Until his demise, he was the secretary of ANLCA’s Board of Trustees (BOT).
Confirming the sad news on Monday, ANLCA’s National President, Prince Olayiwola Shittu described the late Prince Olatunde as one of the strongest pillars of the association. "We have lost a very strong pillar, it is indeed devastating to us" he said.
He added that as a mark of honour, ANLCA’s flag is being flown at half mast at the association’s national secretariat in Lagos.
Although, he gave no details about the unfortunate development, he never-the-less stressed that the late ANLCA statesman lived exemplary life and was a role model to many members.
He stated that burial arrangements would soon be announced by the family, even as he prayed that God Almighty should grant the departed Prince Olatunde eternal rest and his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
