The Bureau of Public Enterprises 9BPE0 have showered praises on foremost logistics service provider and terminal operator; Integrated Logistics Service Limited (INTELS) for what the bureau called excellence in the fulfilment of its mandate.
The commendation letter which was personally signed by BPE’s director general, Dr Christopher Anyanwu made reference to a recent visit by the BPE team to INTELS terminal at the Onne port on May 4, 2009.
The letter which was sighted by our correspondent in Port Harcourt praised the company for outstanding and for fulfilling the obligations of the concession agreement which it entered into with the federal government.
“Particularly, we noted the extent of your implementation of the Development Plan and in surpassing the projected Guaranteed Minimum Tonnage since takeover”, the letter read in part.
”We wish to encourage you to continue in this trend so that the FGN’s objectives in the Ports reform are realized and the positive impact on the Nigerian economy is achieved”, the BPE boss stressed further, even as he assured that the bureau would continue to encourage INTELS to succeed.
Shipping Position Weekly recalls that a similar commendation was given to the company recently by members of the House of Representatives committee on commercialisation and privatisation when they wen on tour of port facilities in Port Harcourt and Onne.
