The Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority Engr. Omar Suleiman has assured the students from Niger Delta of the Authority’s preparedness to assist in training the youths of the region.
The Managing Director made this pledge while receiving the leadership of National Association of Niger Delta Students (NANDS) who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Lagos.

The Managing Director made this pledge while receiving the leadership of National Association of Niger Delta Students (NANDS) who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Lagos.
The managing director said that as a chief in the Eleme Traditional Council and a former Port Manager of Onne Port, he is acquainted with the problems of the Niger Delta region. He therefore assured them that upon the completion of the ongoing rehabilitation works of the two ports in Delta State, there will be more opportunities for youths of the Niger Delta region to be meaningfully engaged.
He commended the leadership of the student body for being nationalistic in their requests, adding that the students have touched his heart by their presentations.
Earlier, the national president of the association, Comrade Lucky Emonefe asserted that the Managing Director of NPA has been able to use his managerial skills to uplift Nigerian Ports Authority to a greater height.
Comrade Emonefe particularly praised Omar Suleiman for his positive and dogged contributions to the development of Nigeria and the pivotal role he is playing in the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
Highlight of the visit was the presentation of an award to the Managing Director as a Distinguished Nigerian Personality in Diligent Service to Father Land.
