A personnel of the terminal operator, Mr Steven Nwabueze said the Tata Indigo is rugged and that the brand is in high demand, he added that the vehicles will be cleared by the end of the weekend.
Apart from the Tata Indigo ,there are also Tata LPK,2516 with all terrain heavy duty, multi-axle tipper and concrete mixer truck, Tata LPT 1618,Tata Indica, Tata SFC 407 truck.
According to Assistant Manager, Workshop in the company, Mr. Joseph Ogunyemi, Tata has been in the country long before now and it is the dealers who import Tata vehicles into the country. He said that since 2004, buyers of Tata vehicles have been showing appreciation and that its attribute include the fact that it is affordable, rugged and specially designed for Nigerian roads.
The workshop manager said if there is any automobile firm that is supposed to have an assembly plant in Nigeria, then it should be Tata Motors due to the fact that the brand new vehicles are in hot demand by Nigerians. He said if the demand for Tata vehicles is sustained, then in no time Tata Motors will bring in a gigantic assembling plant in the country.
