The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has said the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the association expected to take place on Wednesday in Lagos will be graced with the presence of top senior officials of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and members of the governing board of the Council for the Regulations of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN).
In a recent chat with our correspondent the National Secretary of the association Alhaji Babatunde Mukaila also informed that a total of 250 members of ANLCA have fully registered for the event.
He noted that the accredited members are either owners of Customs License or Directors of Licensed Companies as stipulated by the Association’s constitution, as well as paid their N10,000 annual dues while insisting that anyone who claim to be an association member without license will not be allowed to be at the AGM on Wednesday.
He informed that and Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) of Customs, Assistant Inspector General ( AIG) of Police , Maritime Command and the Commissioner of Police , Lagos State and other industry stakeholders are expected to grace the all-important meeting.
He recalls that the AGM, was before now shifted due to accommodate warring members adding that the ANLCA AGM is expected to attract all members of the association from across all the zones in the country and will be by physical participation .
He further informed that among other things, expected at the AGM will be to chart a new course for the association and bring to an end the lingering crises.
The event will also kick- start the process of preparation for the National Executive Committee (NECOM) election as the tenure of the present NECOM expires in a month’s time.
