Even as the race for the various positions into the National Executive Committee (NECOM) of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents ( ANLCA) begins, chieftains of the association are gearing-up to contest various positions in the election.
Taking a shot to grab position of the National Secretary of the association is the current secretary of the PTML chapter; Mr Chijioke C. Daniels
The ANLCA election which is barely three weeks away will see interested members of the association slugging it out to win the office of National President, Vice President, National Secretary, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, among others.
Chijioke in a chat with our correspondent stated that as a loyal and dedicated member of ANLCA of over two decades, he was a one-time Secretary, Presidential Task Force of ANLCA . He added that he was once a member of the Shipping Companies and Terminal Operators committee of the association and currently the elected Secretary of the PTML chapter of the association.
Chijioke Daniels expressed commendation to the present National Secretary of ANLCA, Alhaji Abdulazeez Mukaila, saying even with the heat of the crisis in ANLCA, coupled with the high level of distraction, he was able to hold firm to the association’s secretariat.
He said he is contesting for the National Secretary position of the association because he has really learnt a lot from the present National Secretary and if elected he is at advantage and also being a Chartered Administrator, he is the best man for the job.
Chijioke said with peace returning to ANLCA now, he will make sure that NECOM will take their responsibilities with the desired commitment. He promised if elected, to work harmoniously with the National President and other NECOM and NEC members with the aim of taking ANLCA to a higher glory.
He promised to strengthen the communication base of the Association’s secretariat and organise series of seminars and workshops for members with the aim of bringing them up to date in the freight forwarding industry.
