The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN), a leading maritime association in Nigeria, has formally invited stakeholders to the July edition of its Breakfast Meeting.

The Breakfast Meeting is scheduled for July 24, 2024, at the Rockview Hotel in Apapa, Lagos.

A statement signed by MARAN president, Mr. Godfrey Bibvere, announced that the theme of the meeting, “Trade Facilitation and President Tinubu’s Economic Agenda: Matters Arising,” has become pertinent. The theme aims to educate the public on the contributions of trade to the development of the nation’s economy.

The event is expected to attract high-profile attendees, including the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, Adewale Adeniyi, along with other chief executives of government agencies and key stakeholders in the industry. They will gather to brainstorm on trade facilitation and work towards finding solutions to the challenges faced in the sector.

Other distinguished guests expected at the Breakfast Meeting include ship owners, freight forwarders, the President General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Adewale Adeyanju, and other stakeholders in the marine and blue economy sectors.
