The Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) has reaffirmed its commitment to global best practices with the convening of an Exclusive Stakeholders Meeting on Thursday at Apapa, Lagos.

The high-level forum brought together key players across the freight-forwarding and logistics sector to deliberate on critical updates and to formally adopt the communique issued during the June 30, 2025 Stakeholders Engagement.

With the theme, “Digitization and Standardisation of Freight-Logistics Services and Pricing Mechanism,” the meeting provided an enabling platform for participants to exchange ideas, share perspectives, and develop practical solutions aimed at repositioning the sector for greater efficiency and competitiveness.

In his remarks, CRFFN Registrar and Chief Executive Officer emphasized that the forum underscores the Council’s dedication to fostering innovation, aligning regulatory frameworks, and strengthening partnerships that would drive sustainable growth in the nation’s logistics value chain.

Notable industry stakeholders in attendance included presidents and secretaries of freight forwarding associations, the Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Consultative Council, Dr. Bolaji Sunmola, as well as other distinguished experts and policymakers.

The adoption of the communique and the renewed call for digital transformation and standardization are expected to shape the next phase of reforms in Nigeria’s freight-forwarding and logistics ecosystem.
