Ahead of the coming National Executive Committee (NECOM) elections, the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Chapter of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has endorsed Hajia Bola Muse as the incoming National Treasurer of the association. This is even as she has promised to be transparent, efficient and prudent in the management of the association’s treasury.
Speaking during his welcome speech at an election campaign rally organised by the Chapter on Thursday in Lagos, the Chairman of ANLCA MMIA Chapter, Prince Adewusi Adejare Bamgbala officially endorsed Hajia Muse as their preferred incoming National Treasurer of the association.
Adewusi stressed that Hajia Bola Muse who has over time played prominent roles as a two-time Treasurer of Apapa Chapter, including serving in many committees and as an elected National Financial Secretary under the past administration is a trusted, transparent and courageous woman that could be trusted with the association’s purse. He consequently pledged the Chapter’s support for her, adding that she would get 100 percent votes from members of the chapter.
While calling for the optimum support of all members of the Chapter and association at large, Adewusi urged them to avoid any form of violence or face off with anyone adding that they should rather be focused and massively support her to achieve her aim of becoming the incoming National Treasurer.
In his words: ” I want to appeal to everyone to rally round and come together to vote for Hajia Bola Muse in this coming elections. I don’t believe in fighting anyone. Standing by Hajia Bola Muse, I don’t think it is a mistake. There’s no politics without interest. This is where my interest is and I want you all to support her to achieve her aim of becoming the incoming National Treasurer and I know you will not let me down.
“The problems we are facing today in the Chapter is due to the problems we have at the national level. But with her in the system of the NECOM. I know we don’t have any problem. At the point, I want to let you know once again that you are not to fight anyone. Let us be focused. On the day of election, we should make sure that we do everything we need to do to make Bola Muse succeed. I pray that the lord will guide everyone and that day we will be victorious” Adewusi noted.
On her part, Hajia Bola Muse publically declared her intentions to vie for the position of the National Treasurer of the association in the forth coming NECOM elections. She promised to work collaboratively to assert ANLCA as a force to reckon with in government policy formulation and execution in the maritime and aviation industry in Nigeria.
While reeling out her manifesto to all members present, Muse solicited for their support and votes in making her the incoming National Treasurer. She vowed that being a trustworthy professional, the association’s fuubd are very safe in her care adding that accountability and transparency is her watchword.
Also speaking, a former General Manager of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Barr. Nana Yakubu noted that Bola Muse has proven to be trustworthy in finance over the years. She informed that Bola Muse has successfully headed several associations and have left indelible impact in their finances. Barr. Yakubu however galvanised support for Muse adding that she’s the best for the job.
The Vice President of Barge Operators Association of Nigeria (BOAN); Hyginus Ndukwe who is also a member of ANCLA described Bola Muse as a reliable professional, not only in ANLCA but also a tested and trusted Treasurer in the Barge Operators Association of Nigeria.
Ndukwe stressed that Muse is an amazon who is competent to handle the reputable position of the National Treasurer for the association and will move the industry at large in the right direction during her administration.
