Bi-Courtney Aviation Services (BASL), operators of Murtala Muhammad Airport Terminal Two, and Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SACHO) have collaborated to strengthen airport safety, efficiency and passenger experience.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Head of Corporate Communications at Bi-Courtney, Mrs Ajoke Yinka-Olawuyi, on Wednesday in Lagos.

According to Yinka-Olawuyi, both firms engaged in discussions aimed at strengthening institutional collaborations and operational efficiency within the country’s aviation industry.

She said the discussions centred on issues relating to apron safety, equipment movement, fatigue management, operational discipline and behavioural compliance among personnel operating on the airside.

SACHO’s Managing Director, Mrs Adenike Aboderin, said that the meeting was designed to further align operational objectives and strengthen partnerships within the aviation ecosystem.

According to her, closer cooperation among stakeholders is essential in achieving operational excellence, improving safety standards and enhancing passenger experience across the aviation sector.

Aboderin said that SAHCO was investing in modern ground support equipment, personnel training, digital solutions and customer service initiatives to align with changing industry standards and airline expectations.

She added that the company was  strengthening operational discipline, promoting a stronger safety culture and enhancing staff development programmes to improve efficiency and minimise risks.

Mr Remi Jibodu, Chief Operating Officer at BASL, said during the engagement that sustained collaboration among aviation stakeholders would remain critical to ensuring seamless airport operations and improving customer satisfaction.

Jibodu said that BASL was focused on creating a safe, efficient and passenger-friendly airport environment through stronger stakeholder engagement and improved service delivery mechanisms.

He  highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency through improved monitoring systems, real-time operational reporting, stakeholder accountability measures and infrastructure upgrades.

Both organisations emphasised the need for continuous training, stronger monitoring systems and enhanced safety oversight to reduce operational risks and improve overall service delivery within Nigeria’s aviation industry.
