The Chairman, Nigeria Ports Consultative Council (PCC); Otunba Kunle Folarin is dead.
He reportedly died about two days ago after a brief illness. He died in Lagos.
Otunba Kunle Folarin was also the Chairman, National Seafarers Welfare Board (Nigeria).
His death was confirmed to our correspondents by one of his associates, who pleaded anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the demise of the maritime industry colossus.
The associate confirmed that he had also informed the Nigeria Ports Consultative Council about the unfortunate development
Confirming the sad news, Major Henry Ajetunmobi, a former executive director SIFAX group and member of the Port Consultative Council (PCC) said the news came as a rude shock to him, stating that he still finds it difficult to believe.
Also expressing shock, the President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics Transport (CILT); Mrs Mfon Usoro said : ” I can’t believe this, I am hearing it from you for the first time now, I really don’t know what to say” she said.
