A 44-year-old clearing agent, Abdulazeez Oladunjoye, yesterday appeared before a Surulere Magistrates' Court, Lagos, charged with stealing N4.7 million.
The accused; Oladunjoye, who resides at Agege area of Lagos, is facing a two-count charge of obtaining money under false pretences and stealing.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Tella Danladi told the court that the accused had between July 2011 and July 2012 collected N4.7million from one Mr Sola Adekunle with the pretext of clearing a container for him.

“The accused collected the N4.7million to clear a container loaded with electronics and other items.
“The container was not cleared and the accused did not refund the money,’’ he said.
Danladi said the offences contravened Sections 285 (1) and 312 (3) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State.
