Worried by the frequent loss of containers on the high sea, a digital freight company, OnePort 365, has launched a tracking technology to proffer a solution to the situation.

Container lost

The Co-founder of the company, Hio Sola-Usidame, disclosed this on Tuesday in a statement made available to our correspondent.

According to Sola-Usidame, the maritime sector has been facing the challenge of loss of containers on the high sea which are worth a fortune.

He said with the OnePort 365 tracking system, importers and exporters would be able to track and monitor their goods and services while on the high sea.

He said, “OnePort 365 freight management is seamless and its services include GPS for tracking ocean freight, inland haulage, short and long-term warehousing. Through this device, the company would improve the operational efficiency for scalable growth and cash flow.

“Containers are often lost in transit and there is no visibility; some of them are worth a fortune and are unaccounted for but our tracking system will enable customers to track and monitor their goods in real-time.”

According to Sola-Usidame, the company, with offices in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Kano, eases the documentation process for importers and exporters as it has a dashboard that allows them to manage the process.

“We utilise Apapa and Tin Can ports in Lagos and Onne ports and PTOL in Port Harcourt to ship containers to any part of the world. We are aware of the challenges involved when dealing with the import and export of goods from this part of the world; that is why we have made the entire process easy for importers and exporters,” he added.
