Representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have concluded an eight-day workshop with officers and men of the Nigeria Customs Service at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada, Abuja.
The workshop was aimed at addressing the aspects of Rules of Origin under African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), trade policies and the role of Customs Administrations amongst many others.
During the closure of the workshop, the Officers were issued Certificates of Participation by Deputy Comptroller General of Customs in charge of the Strategic Research and Policy Department; Mr Adewale Adeniyi.
Speaking shortly after presenting the awards, DCG Adeniyi highlighted the importance of the workshop, stating that it will go a long way in building the capacity of the officers.
