Precisely one week after delegates from its four branches re-elected the president general of the union, Comrade Tony Nted Emmanuel, the duo of Comrades Leke Sanni and Adewale Adeyanju were yesterday returned as presidents of NPA and Dockworkers branch respectively.
Even though details of the outcome of the elections were sketchy as at press time, our correspondent confirmed that, apart from two, all the executives retained their positions in the NPA branch.

The unions remaining two branches, namely: Seamen and NIWA branch and Shipping and Courier branch are likely to have their delegate conference soon.
The branch executives were all elected into office in 2009 for four-year tenure.
Speaking shortly to our correspondent after the elections, the NPA branch president; Comrade Leke Sanni expressed gratitude to members of the branch for the confidence reposed in him, even as he assured that he would use his second tenure to build on the gains of the last four years.
He equally expressed gratitude to the union’s president general; Comrade Tony Nted Emmanuel for being a team player and for leading the entire four branches very well.
