Nigeria Shippers’ Council, S/South Zone Gets New Coordinator

The Nigeria Shippers’ Council (NSC), South – South Zone, now has a new Zonal    co-coordinator. He is Mr Philip Eduwa.
Mr Eduwa’s appointment was announced recently by NSC Headquarters, Lagos, in what  many belief was part of strategies to strengthen the operations of the Council, in line with its new role as the ports economic regulator.
He takes over from Mr Maurice Effanga, who has been redeployed to Lagos.

Until his redeplyment to Port Harcourt, Mr  Eduwa, a Deputy Director,  had been in charge of NSC, Warri Port.
Mr Eduwa had also worked in different departments, including the  Cargo Defence Fund and Commercial Shipping Department
Meanwhile, some members of Rivers/Bayelsa Shippers Association who spoke  with our correspondent  on the redeployments commended the  immediate past coordinator; Mr Maurice Effanga for contributing to repositioning of  the council in South –South Zone.
They also welcome the new zonal coordinator and pledged similar support they gave his predecessor, Mr Maurice Effanga in order to ensure his success in the South/South Zone.
