The Seme Command of Nigeria Customs Service has raised the alarm over the state of vehicles seized from the smugglers of imported vehicles.

The command's  Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ernest Olottah told Auto Port Weekly last week that the overtime seized vehicles have suffered in the hands of nature .

He however attributed the cause to the strong wind from the sea pointing out there is nothing anyone can do to effect a change.

Olottah stated that the strong wind has also affected the building at the command and that the structures have been affected as well.

According to him, it is the judiciary that can give directive on the vehicles before they can be auctioned adding that there is nothing the command can do about the nature of the vehicles at the command.

The imagemaker said “until the court condemns it, there is nothing the command can do about"

"The vehicles can remain here for one year or even, two but the cause of the corrosion is attributed the sea wind".

Meanwhile the storage base that was set aside for the seized vehicles has also received a boost as the command has fenced it in order to reduce hazard of the wind.
