The Nigerian Shippers' Council has appointed Mr.Olurotimi Anifowose as the Zonal Coordinator for the organization's South West Zonal Office. He replaces Mr. Tolulope Jaiyeola who has been redeployed to the Council's corporate head office in Lagos.
Mr. Anifowose joined the Council in 1992 as Public Relations Officer and was involved in the conceptualization and implementation of the organisation's corporate communications strategies up until 2010 when he was redeployed as the Head, Industrial Relations & Welfare Services.
A 1988 alumnus of Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University) and 1991 alumnus of University of Lagos, Anifowose,in his new position is saddled with the responsibilities of coordinating the functions and activities of the Council in Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti, Osun and Kwara States.

He is a member of many professional bodies such as Nigerian Institute of Public Relations; International Dispute Resolution Institute; Energy Institute Nigeria etc and his hobbies include traveling, reading, playing scrabble and participation in public discourse.
Mr. Anifowose has since resumed duties.
