In a strategic move to enhance its leadership position as Nigeria’s premier terminal operator and drive its next phase of growth, Tin Can Island Container Terminal (TICT), the operator of Terminal B at Tin Can Island Port, has appointed Philips Ojo as the new head of its corporate communications.
Ojo will be responsible for shaping and executing the terminal’s communication strategies.
His role will encompass both internal and external communications, brand management, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability initiatives, stakeholder engagement, advertising, and social media management.
With a strong background in journalism and corporate communications, Ojo brings valuable experience to his new position.
He began his career as a journalist with DailySun Newspaper before joining SIFAX Group’s corporate communications team in 2015, where he advanced to the role of Deputy Manager.
Ojo holds a Master’s degree in Transport Planning and Logistics, a B.Sc in Mass Communication (Journalism), and a B.A. in History and International Relations, all from Lagos State University.
He is also an Associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and has participated in several professional development programs, including those at the School of Communications, Pan Atlantic University, Orange Academy, Wordslingers, Webloft Concepts, and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.
