In a move aimed at maintaining order and adherence to regulations, the management of Trucks Transit Parks (TTP) has announced the deactivation of several trucks from the Electronic Call Up system popularly known as Eto.
This action comes in response to specific infractions committed by truck owners, as outlined in an official notice that was issued on Thursday and made available to our correspondent.
According to the notice, trucks involved in infractions at Seaplane have been disabled for a period of 90 days. These infractions, detailed across multiple pages of documents, have warranted a temporary suspension of truck operations within the ETO system.
It noted that this measure serves as a stern reminder of the consequences for violating regulations at designated points such as Seaplane.
Furthermore, trucks found to have defaulted on the Minimum Safety Standards (MSS) have faced more severe consequences. The notice specifies that these trucks have been permanently deactivated from the ETO system.
Truck owners affected by these actions are encouraged to seek clarification from the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), if needed.
