Water And Health: The Relationship That Helps Life

Do you also know that our body is about 66 per cent water, our muscles are 75 per cent water and our brain is over 78 per cent water!. I doubt.
Everyone is told that water and health are related, but very few people understand why. Your body is made up of mostly water and it is an important necessity you must replenish daily.

Water helps your body flush out toxins and other things from your system that are no longer needed. It also helps to carry cells through your blood stream, and even if you experience dry eyes and sinuses.
Most of us have heard that drinking eight glasses of water is recommended, but you may need more or less than this. It does not fit with everyone’s personal needs, but for most people this idea will work very well since you urinate about this amount of liquid out of your system.
You need to stay hydrated because your whole body relies heavily on water to function. While the eight glasses work for most people, you need to listen to your own body and drink what you need. Exercise and lifestyle can affect this as well.
If you find that even drinking water you still feel thirsty and need it more often and that you urinate frequently, go see a doctor. This can be a sign of other illnesses that needs to be checked out so you can stay healthy.
Because of the flushing that water does in your system, you need to drink enough that you not only feel no thirst, but enough so your urine is clear or slightly yellowish. It helps make organs work less hard and allows you to keep toxins from building up in your system, since they are easily flushed out.
Water and health are closely connected, and by drinking enough of the latter, you can assist you in body working without any stress to the system, ensure you have proper blood flow. Water can help you feel better and keep your skin beautiful, and everything working well.
Water benefits are extraordinary. Maybe you already know some of the health benefits, but do you know what water amount or water intake will give you the absolute optimum water health benefit.

So, is your water intake enough?
May be NO! Most people depend on soda, coffee, fruit drinks and alcohol for their liquid intake. But these substitutes don’t offer all the great water benefits.
Alcohol and caffeine even increase your water needs.
It takes an average of nine cups a day to replace the water that your body uses and loses. People living in dry climates need even more. Plus, your water requirements increase when you exercise, sweat a lot or you’re sick with a fever, diarrhea or vomiting. ??Since fresh fruits and vegetables are 80% to 95% water, a diet rich in high fiber foods can help replenish the daily water amount you lose.
About nine cups of fluids a day for women and 13 for men is recommended. To make sure your water intake is enough, it’s best to get at least eight of those daily cups from clean safe water.

Can you drink too much water? It’s not likely.
Although endurance athletes have been known to drink so much, they dilute the mineral content (electrolytes) in their blood (hyponatremia), this would be highly unlikely for most people, especially if you’re eating plenty of healthy fruits and vegetables with minerals. ?

Water Benefits Your Health and Fitness?
Drinking pure water is like taking a fountain-of-youth wonder drug. In optimum doses you can produce these miraculous results:
• Lose weight more easily,
• Burn fat and build muscle,
• Have younger looking skin,
• Reduce joint or muscle pain,
• Flush Toxins from your body,
• Increase energy and alertness,
• Lower your risk for heart attacks,
• Improve digestion and elimination,
• Decrease headaches and dizziness,
• Reduce risk of disease and infections,
• Improve mental clarity and performance.
