NAGAFF Founder Accuses ANLCA Of Rigging Maiden CRFFN Election

Founder of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF); Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, has   accused the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agent (ANLCA) of rigging the maiden election into the governing council of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN).

Dr. Aniebonam, who said this when he hosted maritime journalists last week in Apapa, Lagos, also said that ANLCA rigged the election because the association is ignorant of what CRFFN is all about.

Speaking for the first time about the circumstances which led to the loss by all NAGAFFF candidates, including himself, Dr Aniebonam lamented that no member of NAGAFF was elected into the CRFFN first council.

“The maiden election of CRFFN came with a lot of surprises that nobody envisaged, that even when it was NAGAFF that facilitated and engineered the emergence of CRFFN, behold our sister association; ANLCA because they lack knowledge, they do not understand what CRFFN was all about, hence they went behind and rigged that election that led to the absence of NAGAFF in the council”, he told journalists.

He said the difference between ANLCA and NAGAFF is that, while the latter is operating at macro level the former is at micro level.

Explaining, he said, “The two associations are in a macro and micro level. ANLCA as a sister organizations the membership is based on issuance of licenses by the Nigeria Customs Service in other words if you are not licensed by the customs as a cooperate entity you cannot be there member”.

“The inherent powers of the constitutional provisions and that of the customs laws is on one part, the other part is CRFFN as a macro entity involved in the regulation of the movement of cargoes from the point of origin across the international boundaries to the owners warehouse”, he added.
