A total of 66 ships carrying foods, chemicals, petroleum products and automobiles are expected to berth at the Lagos Ports Complex in June.

According to the document, 33 of the ships are expected at the ports this week.
Thirteen of these ships are carrying 5,175 units of new vehicles, while three are carrying 1,415 units of second-hand vehicles.

It stated that the ships were being expected at different ports in Lagos such as Apapa, Bulk Terminal Limited (ABTL), Ports and Terminal Multi-services Limited (PTML), Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT), Tin Can Island Container Terminal (TICT), Five Star Logistics Terminal.
Some other terminals where the ships are being expected, according to the shipping position, are Ports and Cargo Handling Services Limited and ENL Consulting Limited.
NPA further stated that another set of 29 ships carrying food items, ranging from rice to soya beans, fish and sugar, had already arrived and were being discharged.
According to the shipping position, 22 ships of the 29 ships that are currently discharging are carrying more than 400,000 tonnes of rice, one ship out of the 29 is carrying 4,199 tonnes of fish, another one is carrying 12,500 tonnes of sugar.
Four ships are carrying fertiliser and general cargo while one ship is carrying soya beans and rice.
“Twenty-three tankers carrying petroleum products have already berthed at the ports and are currently discharging their products,’’ the document further said.
