Crescent House is set to provide 200 cars and 6OO buses for transporters under the aegis of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN).
This is an arrangement under the Subsidy Re-investment Empowerment Programme (SURE P) and the brain behind the project is the national coordinator of Maritime Advocacy and Action Group (MAAG), Alhaji Alhassan Dantata, who said the sole aim of the project is to better the lots of Nigerians.
Speaking with newsmen in Lagos last week, the MAAG coordinator said that the project will also cover 37 workshops nationwide whereby the company will have to main the service of the new vehicles that are expected in the country any moment from now.
‘’Right now as  Iam talking to you, I just finished negotiating with RTEAN for 200 buses and 600 cars through SURE-P. ‘’
‘’We have concluded the N6Billion deal and I have got the document to show you because RTEAN is a recognized and gazetted operator in the logistics sector in the country. We have been able to create that relationship. ‘’
‘’My company has taken over 37 workshops across the nation to provide after sales services of the auto policy.’’
‘’ I want to make Nigeria great and it is not about me as a person, but our great country and our people that is what it is all about.
‘’I want to create employment for some people in RTEAN with the 200 buses.
Whe asked if the new deal meant that he had changed the name of hid company from Multi-trade to Crescent House, he disagreed.
No, I said an entity made an offer. What I am saying is that Crescent House has taken over 37 workshops initially done by Federal Ministry of Transport.
‘’They are now under my control and with those workshops, we are going to be repairing vehicles, assembling vehicles.’’
He urged operators in the transport and logistics sector to take the advantage of the scheme stressing that it is an installment package.
