National Council of Managing Director’s Founding Fathers Sue For Peace

Founding fathers and elders of the National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents (NCMDLCA) have once ‎again called on the two factions in the association; the Lucky Amiwero and Festus Ejiofor groups to embrace peace, even as they said that they are set to call for a peace meeting soon.
In a document sent to Shipping Position Daily at the weekend by lawyer to Ejiofor faction of the association titled; “Clarion Call for the Immediate Settlement of the Crisis‎ Plaguing the National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents”‎, the mediators who claims to be the association’s elders and founding fathers noted that the prolonged crisis in the association has caused disrepute.
In the letter, our correspondent also noted that Counsel to Mr. Lucky Amiwero; Barrister Osuala Nwagbara is also listed as member of Board of Trustee (BoT) of the Ejiofor faction.
The document signed by Barrister Chibuizor Azuibike pointed out that the protracted crisis‎ and acrimony in the association has cost the association its respect, prestige and its top position in the maritime industry.
It stated that the Council is dying and its members are highly disillusioned.
The law firm disclosed that, “Our law office has been briefed by elders and founding fathers of National with a singular purpose of appealing to all to seek peace and allow for settlement of whatever crisis plaguing the association”
‎”Our role, haven been briefed by these Elders and founding fathers is to urge all parties to give peace a chance and allow what the courts has requested for all to do-seek peace and settlement”
“Given this honourable request‎ by the courts, we most request the warring parties, their lawyers, supporters, to seek peace and settlement”
The statement noted that ‎peace is costly, but it is cheaper than war, and with peace, development and progress booms.
“In this peace initiative, sacrifices shall be made to save the Council, please think of this and attend the peace and settlement meeting once called which shall be soonest”.
