Foremost master mariner; Captain Adamu Biu has suggested to the Federal Government allow Chief Executive Officers in maritime agencies to stay longer in office for effective performance.
Biu a former Executive Secretary,Nigerian Shippers Council stated this in a chat with Shipping Position Daily in Lagos.
The seasoned master mariner reiterated that with continuity by heads of maritime agencies would go a long in solving many abandoned projects.
He added that there are bound be prospects and focus by CEO when they are going longer period to service in office.

"I see a lot of focus and prospects in the maritime industry most especially in the area of continuity"
"When you don't have continuity most especially, you find out that the zeal to push through all along to get result will never be achieved because you will never get result and that I think is happening in some government agencies in the maritime sector".
" The leadership in some of the organisations in the maritime sector has not been blessed as such because there has been too many changes in leadership. "
"When you have too much frequency of changes in leadership you will naturally have some amputation of programmes."
