‘’But I know that in an election of such magnitude, definitely one must step on toes because I have not seen an election where it is 100 per cent perfect and I know that along the line, we will step on toes, I will also want to appeal to those people or persons that we might have stepped on their toes towards realizing free and fair election to forgive us in advance’’.
The Chairman of the electoral committee expressed optimism to have a free and fair election adding that men of the Nigeria Police will be on ground to maintain orderliness.
‘’We have made arrangement with the Area Commander of Area ‘’B’’ Police station in Apapa who promised to give us men and the presence of the police is not to  arrest anyone, but to ensure that there is orderliness in all that we do’’.
He added that the election will be conducted through open ballot system where all the positions will be made available on every ballot papers.
According to him, the eight positions that are available include: President General, Deputy President General, Secretary General, Assistance General Secretary, Public Relations Officer, Financial Secretary and Provost General.
Molokwu stated that, the forum  ‘’is not a political party, but a group of families who are engaged  in the same trade coming together to have a forum whereby the government can hear our voices about what is going on in the industry’’.
However documents sighted by Shipping Position Daily revealed that 488 eligible voters will exercise their franchise for the eight positions that are being contested for.
