Lagos Ports Expect 87 Ships Between September And October 13

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has said that 87 ships would arrive in Lagos ports between Sept. 18 and Oct. 13.
NPA disclosed this in its daily publication on berthing meeting that was made available to newsmen in Lagos.
The document said the ships were laden with rice, fish, general cargo, containers and petroleum products as well as new and used vehicles.
It also reported that 21 ships were waiting to berth at the ports

Three of the ships are laden with bulk wheat and rice, while 18 ships are carrying petroleum products like petrol, kerosene, aviation fuel, diesel and base-oil.
It would be recalled that 23 ships that arrived between Sept. 1 and Sept. 18 were discharging at the ports.
The cargoes included:  petrol, rice, fish, bulk fertiliser, palm oil, bulk wheat, general cargo and bulk gypsum.
