The National President, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF); Mr Tochukwu Ezisi has called on all freight forwarders, especially the Muslims to use this year’s Eid-del-Kabir celebrations to pray for peace and stability of the country.
Ezisi in a statement made available to our correspondent, said Nigeria is going through difficult times and that only prayers and peaceful co-existence can help the nation to come out of it.
Ezisi also congratulated the new Minister of Transportation Muazu Jaji Sambo on his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.
He assures the Minister of the full support of NAGAFF and strategic partnership for greater success.
“I want to use this opportunity to congratulate the Minister of Transportation; Mr. Muazu Sambo for his appointment. The Maritime sector is very strategic to the economy of the nation.
“Freight forwarders are facing a lot of challenges in the line of duty and these challenges are man-made challenges that require policies to resolve. We at NAGAFF have confidence in the Minister that he will consult us; the professionals, understand our pains, and promote trade facilitation. We want to assure the Minister of our support and cooperation, he stressed.
“NAGAFF election in the western Zone is around the corner, the NECOM is working hard to ensure we have credible elections in the different chapters and I want to assure all candidates vying for different offices, of our commitment to deliver credible elections.”
