The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has called for synergies among Federal Government establishments to drive the President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Mrs Favour Bodunde, Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) Area Comptroller, Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi Command made the call on Thursday at the monthly meeting of the Association of Heads of Federal Establishments (AHFE) in Enugu State, hosted by the command.

Bodinde, who was represented by the Deputy Comptroller of Customs, Administration, Mr C.B. Ajinde, said that the Nigeria Customs placed premium value on collaboration as its cardinal point.

According to her, the meeting presented an opportunity for cross-pollination of ideas on the vast window of opportunities to build a greater Nigeria.

She said that the command needed such collaborations to achieve the mandate of the NCS.

“We need to come together to help drive the “change” vision of the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

“It is our belief that with synergy rather than competition, we will get to our desired destination because we are stronger together, ” she said

Mr Moris Eta, Head of Training, Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Enugu Area Office, briefly spoke on preparation for retirement by civil servants.

Eta advised civil servants to begin preparations for their retirement early enough to avoid being caught unawares.

He said that with the current trend of Artificial intelligence (AI) , there was no limit to learning.

He outlined some tips for retiring civil servants, which includes early budgeting and planning, income tracking, monitoring and updating of financiers.

Earlier, the Chairman of the association, Mr Emeka Nwokoro said that the essence of the meeting was to bring all government agencies together to share ideas and network for better Nigeria.

Nwokoro thanked the NCS for hosting the meeting and urged other government establishments to join the association for enhanced coordination.
