Says I am A Fearless Human Being But I’m Consulting…
The immediate past chairman, Tin Can Island Port Chapter of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Mr. Kayode Farinto has declared his intention to contest for the position of president of the association.
Farinto disclosed this in an exclusive chat with Shipping Position Daily in his office in Lagos last week, even as affirmed that he is however currently engaged in wide consultations on the electoral processes of the association.
The former chairman, Tin Can Island Port chapter noted that he is not frightened by the incumbent president; Prince Olayiwola Shittu’s declaration to re-contest for the enviable number one position in the association.
According to him, politics is about aligning and re-aligning and during the debate the president of the association (Shittu) will give account on what his achievements are to members of the ANLCA, in the last four year.
The freight forwarder cum media practitioner also claimed that most of the innovations that have given recognition to the association locally and internationally are his initiatives sighting instance of the ANLCA bio metrics.
Farinto added that there will be an official media conference soon where he will let members of ANLCA know more about his reasons for contesting for the post of the association’s president.
In his words;”I am still consulting and when I am through with consultation, I will call a press conference to declare my intention formally, politics is about consultation and the need to align and re-align, but like I said, I am still consulting”.
Speaking further, he said, “when I finish consultations, I will make my intention known to the public because I am a fearless human being and when I will come out, there will be a debate, Shittu will tell us what he put in place in the last four years and people will expect me to tell them what will be my electoral promises then people will judge from there.
‘’I want to say that most of the programme put in place by Shittu are my initiatives ,bio metrics emanated from me, it was my baby and I knew that it will benefit ANLCA  and today it is a success, so when I say that I am contesting for the presidency of ANLCA that means I am ready”, he declared.
