The Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Tin Can chapter command has trained its recently-inaugurated taskforce, on capacity building.
In a press statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the chapter, Onome Joy Monije, she said the Tin Can chapter chairman; Mr Ojo Akintoye and his executives decided to train the taskforce on Vin Valuation among others in line with best practices
She said the chairman deemed it fit to upgrade the capacity of the taskforce of ANLCA in order to help resolve operational challenges facing members and seek the way forward.
She added that the Controller of Nigeria Customs Service NCS, Tin Can Chapter, Comptroller Oloyede Kunle had emphasized the need for clearing agents to be compliant in carrying out their daily duties.

According to her, the chapter chairman Ojo Akintoye during the capacity building training seminar spoke on the need for members to understudy any bill of laden and other documents before engaging a Customs Officer.
Akintoye, during the capacity training also told the members of the association on the need to dress well as Customs broker, adding that the freight forwarding job is for professionals and should be seen as that.
