The Seme Chapter members of the Association of Registered Freight Forwarders of Nigeria (AREFFN), National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), and National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents (NCMDLCA) have lauded the Seme Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Mohammed Jibo for his sustained and result-oriented fight against smuggling activities around the border.

This was contained in a statement jointly-signed by the AREFFN Board of Trustees Secretary, Mr Innocent Elum, Deputy President, NCMDLCA, Prince Charles Chibuzo Thomas and NAGAFF Seme Chapter Vice Chairman, Mr Don Tino Esezobor which was made available to our correspondent on Saturday.

The associations commended Comptroller Jibo for his representation of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) at the just concluded World Customs Organization (WCO) Summit in Ghana, adding that he has proved himself as an exceptional Customs Comptroller with great potentials.

The statement read in part: “We members of Association of Registered Freight Forwarders of Nigeria (AREFFN) Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents(NCMDLCA) and National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Seme Border Chapter wish to heartily appreciate and commend Comptroller Mohammed Jibo, Seme Customs Command Controller for his most brilliant representation of the Nigeria Customs Service at the just concluded World Customs Organization (WCO) Summit in Ghana. Indeed, Comptroller Jibo has proved himself an exceptional Customs Comptroller with great potentials. We are proud to have such a distinguished cerebral Comptroller at Seme.

“His sustained and result-oriented fight against smuggling activities around the premier border is too glaring for word. Smugglers of rice, Premium Motor Spirit(PMS),etc remember Seme with a dread since his assumption of office This is due to his strategic deployment of proactive Enforcement Officers who work round the clock to ensure that the economic saboteurs are considerably discouraged from carrying out their illicit trade.

“We also commend his management team and indeed all Customs Officers and men attached to the Seme Customs Command and pledge our continued partnership, support and cooperation” it concluded.
