Pirates seize cargo ship in Arabian Sea
A maritime security alert has been issued after pirates seized an Italian-owned cargo vessel in the Arabian Sea, around 300 kilometers east of Socotra.
The ship MV Rosalia D'Amato has 21 crewmembers on board and is now believed to be travelling towards the Somali coastline.

A maritime security alert has been issued after pirates seized an Italian-owned cargo vessel in the Arabian Sea, around 300 kilometers east of Socotra.
The ship MV Rosalia D'Amato has 21 crewmembers on board and is now believed to be travelling towards the Somali coastline.
There are no reports of any injuries amongst crewmembers although vessel operators are reminded that Somali pirate attacks have been growing more and more aggressive over recent months, raising the risk of harm to hull, crew and cargo.
