Dealers of imported fairly- used automobiles have said that jeeps are currently the most sought- after vehicles in the country.
Some of the car dealers in Lagos told Shipping Position Daily last Friday in Lagos that the demand for tokunboh jeeps is currently making waves in the fairly used auto market this season.
According to them, as the demand is high, the importation of the brand will soon increase for those who are willing to sell at an affordable price to their buyers.

Our correspondent gathered that the deplorable state of the Nigeria roads plays a significant role in the high demand for bigger vehicles.
Director, Sunrise Motor Dealers Association, Pastor Andrew Uzor disclosed that Nissan Pathfinder, Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey are some of the few jeeps that are have been able to make traders smile this rainy season.
Uzor said that the Nigeria roads are not friendly to small cars even before the onset of the raining season.
He disclosed that apart from the topmost three brands that are in demand, other jeeps are also sought- after by customers adding that the prices of those brands are quite high when compared to the three aforementioned vehicles.
He listed Volkswagen Tuareg, Mazda 5, Dodge Durango, Lexus Jeep and Infinity Jeeps as some of big cars that are expensive in the automobile market.
In a similar reaction, a dealer, Eke Sunday at Berger market along Apapa- Oshodi expressway also said the demand for jeep has been encouraging in the last three weeks.
According to Eke who sold three jeeps in May alone, before the end of the raining season more of his jeeps on display would have been sold, due to the frequency of enquiries he had been receiving from his customers.
