Some of the latest automobiles manufactured in the Peoples’ Republic of China include: Marple [salon] and Sino (truck) which come in two forms [tanker and truck] and the Dong Feng [bus].The country also have Geely and Brilliance that are marketed by Hyda Motors.
Speaking on the rising importation of Chinnese vehicles, an insider reveal to Auto Port Weekly that there is a rapid importation on the Chinese brands as the Asian country has studied the Nigerian auto market and discovered that with reduction of prices compare to the order brand, it could capture the market .The insider who said the Sino Truck is for construction of roads in Nigeria whilst the Sino tanker will be used to carry water to various construction sites. He also said the owners of the Chinese vehicles are the construction giants; China Civil Engineering and Construction Company [C.C.E.C.C.].He also stated that Marple salon car will are best as official vehicles for top employees of various organizations.
According to Mr Chuks Okereafor of the Five Star Logistic Terminal, who said Nigerians love cheap and affordable items and they will love the Chinese vehicles as they create an avenue for the average citizen to buy a brand new car that is cheaper and affordable.
The terminal operator also said the influx of Indian and China vehicles are relatively high as both countries automobile are highly imported at his terminal.
