The Nigeria Customs Service has announced the death of Comptroller Danlami Haruna.
Until his death, he was the Customs Area Controller of Bauchi/Gombe Command. He passed away on Monday 30th of May, 2022 after a brief illness at National Hospital Abuja. He was aged 59.
Comptroller Danlami Haruna hailed from Donga Local Government Area of Taraba state. He held a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from Bayero University Kano and was enlisted into the Nigeria Customs in 1990 as cadet Assistant Superintendent.
Comptroller Haruna took over the mantle of leadership of the Command on June, 21st, 2021. He had an outstanding career as a general duty officer. As Comptroller, he served as Area Controller Plateau/Benue/Nasarawa Command and Zonal Office Kaduna before his last posting as Area Controller Bauchi/Gombe Command. He is survived by a wife and and three children.
