The Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs, Abdullahi Dikko Inde has directed that a thorough investigation into the alleged beating of a teacher in Ibadan.
The Customs boss who is currently out of the country has reportedly ordered that the circumstances which surrounded the beating –up of a teacher, Mr. Gbenga Ogunleye, at the United Senior Secondary School, Ijokodo, Ibadan last Friday by four customs men be investigated.

Speaking through the Deputy Comptroller, Administration for Oyo/Osun Area Command, Bumba U.M, the CG , Customs said that the service would look into the allegations and as soon as the on-going investigations are concluded, any officer found culpable would be so disciplined.
According to him, neither the school authority nor the Nigeria Union of Teachers have made any formal complaints to the service saying they got the hint of the matter on the pages of newspaper.
He assured that the current management of the NCS under him has zero tolerance for any act of indiscipline or irresponsibility adding that he supports that the school punish erring student within the confines of the law and the modern trends of teaching irrespective of who the parents are.
