The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has asured that it has put in place necessary requirements to ensure an improved revenue collection in all its coomand nationwide.
This assurance was given by the Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) Strategic Research and Policy Mr. Nwonsu Augustine Chukwuma at a recent press briefing at the Kano area command during his recent visit.
The DCG said he was in Kano area command to give moral support to the officers as a measure of motivating them to gear up towards meeting the set target of the service.

He added that, the service has put in place all the necessary arrangement to see that the
officers are adequately motivated to achieve the set targets.
He however noted that, according to records made available to him; the service has recorded an increase in this year’s revenue generation when compared to last year’s and that the service is committed to achieving more.
In his speech, the command’s area controller; Abbas Umar stated that the area command has succeeded in surpassing its monthly target of N360 million due to the motivational strategies always put in place by the service to its members.
He added that, officers of the service are always ready to put in their best in ensuring that they have contributed to the development of the nation’s economy.
