The Western Marine Command , Nigeria Customs Service has destroyed poultry products it intercepted from the hands of smugglers.
The command said that a total of 42 cartons of the frozen poultry products were intercepted in the Badagry axis of the state.
Public Relations Officers of the Command, Ngozi Okwara told Shipping Position Daily, before the destruction on Tuesday that the prohibited items were intercepted on the 18th of August 2014, but added that no suspects were arrested in connection with the seizures.

She said that the seizure was made by the Comptroller Zakka Audu-led officers because they are absolutely prohibited by the federal government of Nigeria.
Okwara added that the 42 cartons of frozen poultry product were valued at 273,000.
