The Managing Director of Multi Aulic Limited, Alhaji Alhassan Dantata has assured stakeholders in the maritime industry that old and rickety trucks operating within the seaports in Lagos states will soon be a time of the past.
Dantata, also assured truck owners of ongoing plans by his company to import two thousand units of new trucks so as to assist the port truckers.
The Managing Director of Multi Aulic Limited, Alhaji Alhassan Dantata has assured stakeholders in the maritime industry that old and rickety trucks operating within the seaports in Lagos states will soon be a time of the past.
Dantata, also assured truck owners of ongoing plans by his company to import two thousand units of new trucks so as to assist the port truckers.
He disclosed that the chaotic traffic situation in the port environment will soon be cleared as no truck driver will be allowed to leave the terminal unless such a driver is called upon to the port to lift cargo.
Dantata pointed out that with such strategy in place, traffic along the port environment will reduce and indiscriminate parking of vehicles along the road will be eradicated.
The business mogul also assured that the park located at the trade fair complex at the Lagos Badagry expressway can accommodate 5,000 trucks adding that the company has ordered the first batches of vehicles that will soon commence operation.
He also revealed that one of the terminals is to be dedicated to export processing and this is to serve as a one-stop-shop for export processing services and some of the vehicles designated to the terminal.
