Enugu Governor Gives Kudos To NAGAFF – Promises Partnership For Development

Enugu State Governor; Mr Sullivan Chime has commended the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) for its giant strides in the logistics and supply chain management.
 
Chime gave this commendation when some officers of the association visited him in his office in Enugu state recently.

The Governor enumerated his government's efforts towards maximizing the potentials in the upgrading of the Akanu Ibiam Airport to international status which are all geared towards ensuring that the state taps benefits inherent in the status.
 
Governor Chime said his government was quite aware of the benefits in harnessing the full potentials in the various modes of transportation so as to improve the lots of his people.
 
He informed his guests that the state was pursuing the issue of establishing cargo shed at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport to fully harness the benefits of the new status.
 
He promised that his government will partner with NAGAFF towards actualizing some of the beautiful ideas put forward by the association.
 
Earlier in his speech, the President of NAGAFF; Chief Eugene Nweke informed the governor that the association was in the state to exploit the possibility of partnering with the state to key into the lucrative business of air cargo industry and the new trends there.  The NAGAFF
President advised the Enugu state government to encourage and sponsor youths in the state to go into the freight forwarding business while keying into the e-commerce portal.
 
Chief Nweke urged the state government to collaborate with the State Chamber of Commerce and the Shippers’ Association to take advantage of the opportunities in the international alliance like the Singapore Alliance, so as to share products and services as well as capabilities.
