The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Lucky Irabor, made this known when he received the CDS of the Armed Forces of Sao Tome and Principe, Brig.-Gen. Idalecio Pachire, on Monday in Abuja.

The Director, Defence Information, Maj.-Gen. Jimi Akpor, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

Akpor said that Irabor also pledged commitment to tackling piracy and other forms of criminality within the corridor of the Gulf of Guinea.

According to Akpor, other areas of collaboration discussed during the visit are capacity building of Sao Tome personnel, joint exercises and training assistance.
