KLT Customs Command Generates N15.7bn In Nine Months

The Nigeria Customs Service KLT command has said the command generated the sum of M15.7 billion for the year under review

The Customs Area Controller of KLTC Comptroller M.O Oladunni in a press statement informed that the command had generated 15.7 Billion naira by the end of September 2020 already surpassing  the 15.1 billion made for the whole year 2019.

She said the significant increase was achieved despite the pre and post COVID – 19 pandemic  effects and various other challenges 

While informing that the command seized 1 X 40 FT container laden with 254 cartons of Tramadol (100Mg) concealed with other drugs. used tyres, foreign spaghetti, macaroni and Indomie,  body spray among other items With duty paid value of over 229 Million naira. 

The Area Controller appreciated all stakeholders for using the Command facilities despite the numerous challenges encountered bu however  urged the freight Forwarders  to be honest with their declarations in order to enjoy seamless operations at the Command.
