MAN Oron To Critics: Our Doors Are Open, But….

The Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) in Oron, Akwa Ibom State has frowned at those it described as desperate to break into the academy’s vault, under the guise of criticizing the academy.

In a public notice that was issued last week, MAN Oron, said nevertheless, its doors are wide open, and that whoever is desirous of verifying its claims should start from the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), to the Ministry of Transportation or better still come directly to the academy.

In the public notice, MAN Oron stated: “The Management of MAN wishes to let the general public know that the Academy is open for them to verify anything they have doubt about instead of listening to some criminals who have their objective, which is to break open the account of the Academy as they have done in the past but we have said no to that”

“If anyone wishes to verify, they can start from NIMASA, Ministry of Transportation or the Academy”.

“For those journalists who are truly journalist and have practiced journalism which we recognize as a noble profession, we salute them”.

“For the criminals and the blackmailers, we dare them to continue but definitely, we should all remember that Nigeria is not a failed state”.

“At the end of the day, they will pay for their crimes and it would be shameful because so far, all their predictions that the Academy would not progress have come to zero”.

“The Management is therefore poised to continue working and would not be bothered by the thoughts of these criminals which have proven to be inconsequential”.

In the notice, the academy boasted of its growing international accolades and endorsements.

“It is necessary to reiterate that the Academy is recognized internationally; the IMO is happy with the Academy on the progress made so far and has also donated books to the Academy’s library”

“Other stakeholders have also contributed to the progress we have made in one way or the other and we are very grateful”.
