Maritime Operators Want Onitsha River Port Functional

The Anambra Maritime Practitioners’ Association  (AMPA) has appealed to the state government to make the Onitsha River Port functional without delay to boost maritime activities.
The National President of the association, Chief Dom Obi, made the appeal in an interactive session with newsmen in Lagos.
Obi said that effective functioning of the port would improve businesses and promote entrepreneurship in the state.
''We also want other freight stations to be opened for easy cargo operations,'' Obi said.
