The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has joined other Nigerians to felicitate with Muslims across the world on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebration.

The President General of the union, Com. Adewale Adeyanju in a press statement made available to our correspondent by  the Head Media of MWUN,  Kennedy Ikemefuna urged the Muslims to emulate the lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad ( Peace be Unto Him ) who preached and practiced love, charity and forgiveness amongst all men of good will based on total adherence to tolerance while serving Allah and mankind on planet earth.

He urged the Muslims to be faithful to Allah via their individual service and to humanity across board irrespective of tribe, religion,  colour or creed as this tenet was what made the Prophet Ibrahim the Father of Faith in Islam when he obeyed Allah to sacrifice his son Ismail for the Almighty in absolute obedience.

He further urged Muslims to be very tolerant in all they do, putting into cognisance the four tenets of Islam and reflecting on the obedience of Prophet Ibrahim, which is the symbol and significance of the Eid-El-Kabir Muslims all over the world celebrate.

He said “the Eid as it were gives us (Muslims) hope in Islam, which is the reason we should not deviate from the principles and practice of Islam in Nigeria nay the world. Once more, we in the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria do felicitate with every Muslim faithful in the country”, he said.
